REACTION: Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite novels.
I have read it several times and I will do it again! It refreshes me every time
I read it. I like it mainly because of the way it has been written. It is a
classic romantic story with a touch of humor and very engaging characters. The
book made me laugh, cry and even feel warm and fuzzy inside. Furthermore, I
like it for how a rich and proud man was brought to his knees by a young,
confident and not so rich girl. The character of Elizabeth amazes me in many
ways, and it is fascinating to get to know her character. Unlike other women of
her age; her sisters and friends, she lives outside of social realities of
marriage and life. She is smart, intelligent, and has a strong personality. Wealth
doesn't seem to impress her. While most girls would consider getting married as the only
goal of life, Elizabeth did not like to run after rich men. Finally, through
Elizabeth's character, Jane Austen in trying to convey that we all need to
update our views and ideas about the world, and not stick to our first
impressions about people.
I like this book which is pride and prejudice. I had watched this movie. And I read it in Chinese. I prefer the woman who is named Elizabeth. By the plot development, I am mad at the story. I also read it in English. Also, it's more difficult to me because there are a lot of new vocabularies. However, I will still read it.
ReplyDeleteI know this famous novel. So, I want to write about whole reaction about this novel. When I finished reading this novel, I fell very happy with Elizabeth and darcy finally became husband and wife because they have a pride, prejudice, it can have all these twists and turns. Elizabeth is a warm, lively, but there is no lack of again pure rural girl. she doesn't know intrigue against each other, also, she dosen't know how to distinguish true or false, thus prejudice is a produce in her heart. Darcy is a brownstone aristocratic, so he has hard-edged eminent status, it can make him twist into a pride? Yes, he is arrogant so, let people ignore that he was big and tall, handsome, chic, people would think he puffed up, defiant, bad ingratiation as. Elizabeth also just because's prejudice against to darcy, and made her pure and fresh and the wake of darcy's personality the haves words.
ReplyDeleteCan be sunny, finally, darcy and Elizabeth melted contradictions. However, imagine, if darcy not tell Elizabeth that he love her, or in encounter brush-off and personality insult no clarification, and give up the pursuit of true love, the results and how is it? it Will be a tragedy, maybe Jane and bentley persistent feelings will go up in flames, Lydia's frivolous act will make bell's family put shame on the shadow, and discredited. But all these are not present. Because darcy with his rational eye saw Elizabeth innocence, he forgave her. Because love her, so he will disregard of the grandmother Katherine's prevent, resolutely chose her.
This true love, only sincere love moist, because they have "love" to arrive together, Jane and bentley, darcy and Elizabeth. Their love is pure, and Charlotte and Collins love is completely based on the money. The two completely different notions of love since then go on to so far, seepage into the human progress of history.
I love this novel so much.
